Israel ranked 4th in World for Eye Research Publications/population

Israel has come in 4th in the world, relative to its population, for the number of scientific Ophthalmology papers published each year. This is reported for the years 2002-2006. According to the paper, Israel has the highest R & D expenditure in the world, despite all our budgetry constraints.
